West Ham United and the Origins of the Club

West Ham United is a professional football/soccer team based in Stratford, East London. West Ham compete in the Barclays Premier League, which is the top tier in English Football. The 2015/16 season for West Ham, was an emotional season for the club as it was the last season West Ham would play in the Boleyn Ground, and the club and it fans had to say goodbye to the stadium. The next Season West Ham re-located to the London Stadium. The London Stadium is Famously known for being the Olympic Stadium during London 2012. The clubs Owners are David Sullivan who has a 51.1% share, David Gold who has a 31.1% share and Albert 'Tripp' Smith who has a 10% share. The current manager of West Ham United is Slavan Bilic , but due to a lack of good form in recent games many fans want Slavan to be sacked as manager.

                                                    Formation of the Club

In the summer of 1895 Thames Ironworks and Shipbuilding Co. Ltd owner Arnold Hills and foreman Dave Taylor founded the football club, Thames Ironworks F.C. Thames Ironworks went on for a number of years winning trophies such as the West Ham Charity Cup in 1896, the London League twice in 1897 and 1898, and the Southern League Division Two title. At the end of June 1900 Thames Ironworks resigned from the southern league and were wound up. On July fifth, 1900 Thames Ironworks reformed under the new name of West Ham United.
